Samsung distance Apple with an increase in sales of 172.8%

 

Samsung saw its sales of phones exploded with a record increase of 172.8%, leaving the competition behind.

This is an IDC study reveals that, Samsung is a solid market leader and is not ready to stop this positive momentum. With more than 50 million copies of phones sold in the second quarter of 2012, Samsung saw sales increase of 172.8%.
If we must compare it to its direct competitor, Apple sold 26 million iPhones. In this connection, the IDC analyst Kevin Restivo said:
"Samsung and Apple have rapidly become heavyweight world market in the area of smartphones, despite a very different approach to the market. "
Samsung gets its impressive sales figures thanks to split its phone products from low end to high end with the Galaxy S3 which is instrumental in the success of the Korean manufacturer. In contrast, Apple has chosen not to position itself as the premium segment.
"Both companies develop their implementation of geographic to win market share, but they return increasingly in conflict by trying to generate additional benefits. "
In terms of smartphone sales, Samsung is number one with 32.6% market share followed by Apple (16.9%) and Nokia (6.6%). Samsung remains the leader in total sales with a market share of 24.1%, followed by Nokia (20.6%), while Apple is a small 6, 4%
